Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • lb carne picada
  • 1 yellow onion finely diced
  • 1 red pepper finely diced
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • ½ tsp Better Than Bouillon Roasted Garlic Base
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp browning seasoning
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • King's Hawaiian Sweet Slider Buns for serving

Instructions

  • In a large nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the carne picada, diced onion, and diced red pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the meat has browned and the vegetables have softened (7-10 minutes).
  • Add the flour to the beef mixture and stir. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the beef stock, Better Than Bouillon Roasted Garlic Base, salt, pepper, browning seasoning, dried thyme, and apple cider vinegar. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for an additional 10 minutes. Serve with King's Hawaiian Sweet Slider Buns.
